Master Chief Peters enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1976 and graduated from Recruit Training in February 1977. He was trained in Advanced Electronics and Nuclear Power. He served on various surface ships on the East Coast, completed 9 operational deployments covering the North Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf, Black Sea, Indian Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico. He also completed 4 tours as a Navy Instructor and was designated as an Instructor of the Year and Master Training Specialist. In 1996 he was selected for the Command Master Chief Program - serving as senior enlisted advisor to Navy Commanders, Captains, and Admirals. His last tour before retirement was serving as the Director of the Senior Enlisted Academy which trains and educates senior enlisted military personnel in Leadership and Management. Masters Chief Peters retired in 2002 after 25 years of active Naval Service.
Master Chief Peters has been teaching in the NJROTC Program since 2003. He earned my B.S degree in Management from Park University in 2005 and a M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University in 2011.
